Encaustic Entanglements Solo Exhibition 2019

This exhibition abstracts organic patterns found throughout the universe and presents a body of work using oil and encaustic paintings on wood and stone. Inspired by microscopic photography of fossils and extinct life forms as well as deep space photography, the intricate patterns serve as references for the paintings and sculptures in Encaustic Entanglements. This body of work is a combination of oil and encaustic materials (heated beeswax, ground pigments and tree resin) painted on wood and stone.
